                | Peggy
Toole earned her BFA degree in Painting from Washington University
and then went on to earn her MA and MFA at the University of
Michigan, Ann Arbor in Fine Art and Oriental Art History, and
Printmaking, respectively. Her brilliantly and sensitively detailed
work reflects her love and knowledge of nature, the human form,
and international decorative design. Texture, pattern and layering
effects are often incorporated into her work achieving rich
and unusual surface design. After beginning her career as a
college Art instructor, Peggy joined Hallmark Cards in 1979
and for the past twenty years has built her career and success
in designing for Sunrise Publications, Design, Design, Portal

and The San Francisco Music Box Company. Her seasonal and holiday
images are well known in the stationery and gift industries
for their timeless appeal and proven consumer acceptance. Peggy
resides in Colorado with her extended family of cats - another
obvious love. She is also a collector of dolls and vintage and
antique ceramics. When time allows, travel is another favorite
hobby, from which she derives much of her design inspiration. | | | |
